Sterling Gates talks with Newsrama about what's going on with Supergirl, both the character and the book as well as what's on the road ahead. It is a good interview. Check it out.

That's a very good interview, I do like the current story in World of Krypton & Supergirl but feel it's being stretched far too thinly over too many book, it needs more meat to sustain the length they're stretching it to.

I find Gates' namedropping of Robinson and Johns as the architects of this storyline ironic given neither is having any direct input - It should be Gates getting the props!

Nontheless Gated and Ingle deserve full credit for making Supergirl arguably the best Superman book out right now, she could do with more earthtime but i can't fault either the plotting or the fabulous art of Ingle, loved his stuff on Firestorm and would like to see him graduate to doing something like Wonder Woman or Green Lantern.

I think another good sign of a healthy book is the strength of its rogues gallery and by contrast Wonder Womans deficiencies really are glaring in comparison to Supergirls world at the moment.

I liked that the June and July issues were "done in one" tales. The July issue more than the the June one. They aren't true stand-alone stories, but better than the bloated storylines stretched over multiple issues we get in most books these days.
