Previous Post I just started reading the John Bryne Superman stories and I want to start reading the current books but I have know idea where to start. How many Superman books are out there now and do the stories connect through all of the books? Thanks

In addition to the solid info from omike below, a couple tips

1) This week a one-shot came out called "Superman Secret Files." It's a little pricey at five bucks, but it's a good primer intended as a jumping-on point

2) supermanhomepage.com is a good resource for all things Superman, including summaries and reviews of recent issues. Incidentially, a couple guys on that site recently started a podcast exploring the early Byrne comics. The podcasts are long, but they are very interesting.
