It's sad that DC has such a pathological need (with the approval of so many fans) to strip the uniqueness right out of their characters.
Superman is unique with over a hundred thousand Kryptonians, because unlike them, he was raised as a human and holds all life sacred. It's not his powers, but what he does with them and how he behaves. That's who and what Superman is.
