If you want to be semi-spoiled get a load of This, DC talking about the new Launch and status-quo for Superman and it certainly raised my eyebrows....!
...I'm glad they let themselves start over to play with his origin but something tells me they won't seize the opportunity to fully rethink Superman like they need to. I personally don't mind his alien side being explore more than it was, and like the fact he is single, but I hope some good reasons are also explored to explain why he would be grounded in humanity.
Also, I'm not against him starting back with his powers in their infancy as long as they don't top too low compared to the rest of the denizen of the DCU. I also hope they will remove some weakness Superman use to have and finally let Superman travel in space on his own somewhere down the line when his powers have matured. I don't want a leaping grasshopper forever. As for his armor costume, I don't care as long as it doesn't explain his invulnerability. If that the case, I instantly quit Superman comics for good. It's DC's last chance as far as I'm concerned. Change for change shake is already annoying without adding unwanted side effects to the mix. I hope this guy still feel like the Superman I've known. What's the point fighting to keep a character if so little of him remains in the end?
they could could have gave him the same suit with all its seems and made it leather or something! Like hancocks or movie X-MEN! same outfit just not armor! HE'S FREAKEN SUPERMAN! NO ARMOR IS NEEDED! KYPTONIAN OR OTHERWISE! this makes me want to puke! THEY DID'NT NEED TO CHANGE SUPERMAN! they needed to just change his clones! and make him unique! TOO MANY SUPERMAN ARCHETYPES RUNNING AROUND! if he was the only one we would'nt have this problem! SUPERMAN DID'NT NEED CHANGE! the universe around him did! Put Alan Moore back on him! All Star Superman was Superman Done right! EXCEPT FOR THE DYING AND POWER BOOST. Greatest Superman tale ever! IMO
