So, Jonathan Kent is... well, he's.... Um, he's not... that is... he IS... ah...

Isn't this just the theories of Van Sciever?

Don't get me wrong, DC needs to start catering to people born after the Oklahoma City Bombing, and Gen Z does seem to be very interested in sexual and gender identity. Or at least that is what the people complaining about them seem to paint a picture of... I really don't know many.

So, I think it IS possible.

The agenda in all of this is making money by appealing to theories and stereotypes of what the young folk want. I doubt it will work, but if DC believes it will they may give it a chance.

I checked a few other places, and Van Sciver seems to be the source everyone is using.

Van Sciver has had this theory for about five years now. That all DC characters will be replaced or changed to be gay.

Funny thing is, even if DC didn't plan on it, with all the attention he has given the idea... and some outlets are praising the idea, as if confirmed... it may become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Van Sciver is very clever. He has moved from being a very talented artist, to the world of angry commentary, where gofundme and Patreon fund his comics and his life. And I never seem to hear anyone actually talk about those comics good or bad.

He realized where the real money is, and how to work that system for all it is worth. He isn't getting paid for his comics, he is getting paid for criticizing his former industry.. the comics are just a bonus.

But that cleverness may include knowing what to say and when to rile up people and get them to donate to him.
