isn't he suppossed to in time become even more powerful then Clark due to his human/Alien Physiology?

That could happen but I would say just because Batman believes ' it does not mean it is inevitable. Will there be such stories in the future? In comics every angle will eventually be pursued but as a lasting development I doubt it.
