Since DC is banking on Jon being now their main man for 21st century, would it make sense to have Clark and Lois travel off earth, and to see the Galaxy, like when marvel had SS do in order to have him meet new aliens and get into exotic adventures?

I have a hard time seeing Lois roaming outer space like that... but it is an interesting idea! Brian Bendis did do something similar when he had her accompany Jor-El and Jon as they roamed the galaxy, she didn't care for it and returned home. She is not cut out for that world, understandably so.

Still, having said that I can imagine some motivation to have her need to go with Clark as he sets off into Space for an extended period. She would have to adapt to this strange new life, and it would be fair to say she would be of limited use in a great many circumstances, but she already has a lot of experience with the world of Superman on earth, and could be a functional companion for Superman out there in some situations.

It's not a natural direction for Lois Lane to take, but if the writers wanted to do something radically different with her then it might be worth considering...
