I haven't read an issue of Superman (ANYTHING) since Bendis' second to last issue. Well, I did gloss through Superman: Red & Blue and maybe something else.

I'm hoping to enjoy it all in one or two sittings once I have some down time. That, and I haven't heard anything compelling about any of the books in a long, long time.

I can't even tell you who is writing and drawing Action Comics at the moment, but I did read the opening chapters and found that while I can't say they are badly written as such they aren't offering anything new.
Concerning a strange lost tribe of Kryptonians held by Mongul on Warworld we already have two extremely overused Superman tropes... but as Superman sets off to Warworld we have him forging an improboble alliance with The Authority and being rendered powerless, about to enter the Gladiatorial arena of Warworld.

I've seen it all before. There is nothing new or original here. And it is all massively decompressed. I had hoped we would be over this type of open-ended story-arc.

So while I can't label it as terrible, neither can I say I look forward to this book. And sadly that goes for the majority of DC and Marvels output today.
