Hello all...

I was wondering who's interpretation would look really good if they drew the costume. I know there are some detractors who don't like the costume and we've had the variant covers but I would like to see the following artists take a crack at it:

Mike Deodato
Scott Eaton
Tom Raney
Steve Epting
Simone Bianchi
Walt Simonson
Andrea De Vitto
Claudio Castellini
Alan Davis
Carlo Pagulayan

Ofcourse the piece done by Mike Wieringo was great RIP \:'\(

Any thoughts ??

deodato came on during the first vol. when sales of thor was really bad. he made thor sales jump 30-40% before it finally ended. deodato draws a good and powerful thor.

> Scott Eaton

eaton did thor justice when he drew it. although his inker koblish style of inking made the drawings look scratchy and not consistent with the line work. eaton is good.

> Tom Raney

slow artist. nice drawings, but its not like he's a "MUST" thor artist. sometime his characters are a bit warped.

> Steve Epting

no way. his thor looks like a regular guy in a thor costume. his shape and size of characters are always the same. thor is suppose to big and larger than life. epting portrayal is a skinny thor with no dynamics. he's a great cap artist, but not thor.

> Simone Bianchi

not appealing enough. just not the right artist.

> Walt Simonson

walt saved thor. gave it new life. his thor was big, strong, and really rugged. i know most of you guys might dog me for this, but i never thought that he put too much thoughts in his artwork. it seem like he rush his drawings. very limited details. besides this, his work is still appealing. but in this day and age. his style might not be enough to sell comics to the masses.

> Andrea De Vitto

mmmmm...i like his work. he draws characters to scale. a post-pounding artist that can be a top seller? he can, but not as fan favorite as coipel.

> Claudio Castellini

great artist. very detail and dynamic characters. great poses. but...where has he been? and isn't he a really really slow artist? or he's just not into comics like other artists?

> Alan Davis

writer and artist that can sell comics. he always got what it takes to do a great job! but is he consistant enough to keep an ongoing comic? he's great for mini-series and story arcs...that's for sure! i like him a lot!

> Carlo Pagulayan

he did a great job on planet hulk. and i guess he's the new ongoing artist on the incredible hulk now? i would like to see his style on thor. he kind of reminds me of angel medina.

yes, the drawing that ringo did for thor was nice. but i wouldn't want him on thor. he'll be too cartoony.
