Hello people hope you're all fine \:\-\)

First:
I haven't been around the board for a couple of weeks due to new commitments and having a very busy schedule being a school teacher and all \:\-\) .

Second:

I had a phone call from one of my old friends this evening who used to own a comic shop in London back in the 90's. He came out of the biz in the late 90's due to financial reasons and never returned to comics until recently.

He told me that a few months ago he went to a comic convention in London ( I think)where he met the great Alan Moore. He said he's a really cool guy and very down to earth, unlike what people may think of him.

He said that they had a long chat about the biz and what comics they like. My friend told Alan that a friend of his ( me ) was trying to get him back into Thor and comics in general.
Alan Moore told him that he likes what JMS is doing with the character now as they are apparently friends, he is also said that what JMS has planned for Thor is gonna be really great.

I know my friend wouldn't make something up like this just for the sake of it. I am just suprised, that AM would be interested in the character.

I know he doesn't really write superhero stuff but Thor isn't really a "superhero" per se.
I would love to see how AM would write the character.

I'm sure he would do him justice.

food for thought people ?

take care all..hopefully I'll be able to post more often but at the moment it's not looking like it's gonna be the case. \:'\(

Well after reading JMS' interview in Marvel Spotlight, as well as the first three issues of Thor, so far I have no doubt we're in for a treat. JMS, being a reader of mythology, should also factor into Thor's adventures, much like the "Lord of the Rings" did for the Walt Simonson's run. JMS seems to really want to make Thor his baby. I love it when a writer is truly enthusiastic about a character, so much so that he puts his full effort into the story and direction.

Here's to consistency.
