> ... That's news to me!
> Long story short: A ways down (posted by the user Red Orion), it's said that Coipel will be off of 'Thor' for 2 issues and then will be back with #9, apparently.
> My question is this: Given the amount of lead time they had on this book, why would they need a fill in at just #7? Sure, I know life happens
sometimes -believe me, I know
-, but I was always under the impression Coipel was a fairly timely artist.
I'm Red Orion from CBR. And Coipel isn't that timely of an artist, his Legion Lost work had three fill-ins, his Avengers had both delays and fill-ins and House of M (which had lead time) still suffered from delays.
> Plus he hasn't done any interviews at all (anyone else notice that? Must be a language barrier thing, or he's just a quiet person in general) in the last couple months outside of the initial launch, so who knows what might be going on there.
He actually did do a really short interview after Thor #2 came out for the Comicbook Orange over on YouTube.
> Well, I suppose we'll find out what the real deal is near the end of the month with the January '08 solicitations.
> If they had
to get a fill-in artist though? I'd go with Andrea DiVito or Ed McGuinness. Can't go wrong with either one.
I agree with you on DiVito but I'd hate for McGuiness to do the fill-ins because his style wouldn't really fit with JMS' story.
