> seems like since the donald blake/human responsibility side of thor is becoming big, the biggest problem the thor mythos has is a lack of worthy mortal adversaries outside of avengers related problems look at thor's typical human foes (mr. hyde, mongoose, etc.) and they don't generally rank as that impressive (possible exception of Zarko.) So maybe JMS has an opportunity to introduce some new human foes, people diabolcal enough to take on a god. Something i hope will happen. also i hope balder comes back soon.

In theory any current organization with enough technologcal or mystical backing could prove to be a threat.

Dr. Doom - already has some vested interest in Mjolnir/Thor since his return from Hell.

Gen. Ryker - a Hulk foe who is proving to be a very clever foe. He would certainly not be adverse to creating Thor-based clones (or worse, Thor-Hulk hybrids!), using advanced weapons and biological warfare to take it to Thor. Hell, take a page out of Ross's book and throw in some adamantium munitions for good measure.

Hydra, AIM - if they approached the Thor problem with a plan they could be a threat. Steal Thor's hammer to use as a mystical power source for example.

Doom used a Time-bot once to steal the Hammer from Thor and use it to power a device and Doom is of course well known for having usurped the power of the Silver Surfer, so yes with prep time and the right devices he could surprise THOR.

Possibly, but Ryker seems more of a HULK adversary. I dont see why he'd go after THOR unless Tony or the President ordered him too.

Er well, I suppose they could in a similar fashion to what Dr Doom did......

Iron Man: with enough Prep Time and specialized armor/weapons, Iron Man can give a THOR a run for his money and maybe win.

However in the case of any mortal vs THOR and yes this applies to DOOM as well.....THOR is on a sacred mission to restore the Asgardians. Iron Man interrupted him to give him an ultimatum and we saw what happened......now imagine Doom or someone else interfering in THOR's mission.....I Dont think THOR will be quite as kind to them as he was to Tony.
