Quote:Reasonably well? I think the Hulk did reasonably well against Thor.
Even in issue #300, Thor is STILL trying to reason with the mindless savage Hulk. Thor had no problem matching the Hulk blow for blow.
Also the Hulk was unable to stand against the fury of Mjolnir when Thor decided to no longer hold back.
Hulk never actually managed to hit Thor in the issue though at least from what I am looking at. He threw one punch and you can see he missed.
He was unable to stand, lol, because he got knocked flying. Even when Thor didn't hold back, Hulk got up and was ready to clobber him with an adamantium statue. Thor never even came close in their brief encounter to putting him down.
Still I do wish that Thor and Hulk were allowed to rumble a little more and all that mumbo gumbo with Dr Strange were sacrificed in lieu.
What are you looking at???
Hulk clearly hits Thor in this scan and Thor is rocked backwards from the force of the blow. Thor takes the brunt of the blow and re-engages Hulk.
Your missing the point, which is, when Thor cuts loose, Hulk can not withstand the force of Mjolnir AND this is Thor using ONLY brute strength. That is much better than 'reasonably' doing well as you stated in your previous post.
I too wish the battle had gone longer. Although I believe this was the one time we would have seen Thor bring down the Hulk because Thor knew innocent lives were on the line and there wasn't a "Bruce Banner effect" holding him back from using lethal force as shown in the majority of thier previous fights.
Also there wasn't any Banner holding back the Hulk in this issue which means both combatants were going all out.
