Do we KNOW that Bor is dead?
He was still alive when Thor bent close to him. The scene reminded me of Star Trek 2 when Bones bent close enough to a dying Spock....and we know what happened next.
Could Thor have dispelled Lokis illusions. Perhaps Bor needed to recover from such a blow as Thor dealt him wit the Bor Sleep. Could the older magicks view of death be different than what these gods understand?

Losing Bor....Asgards once and maybe future King in a one shot book certainly would be short-sighted. King of Asgard...a fiercer warrior than Odin or Thor...more powerful in all probabality - mentoring Thor on his new powers...Bor using old magicks to repair mjolnir and maybe modify it's powers.

There are stories to be written with him as a part of Asgard...lots of them....

Silly to kill him off....insult to injury... in Valhalla he will not find his son. THERE'S another story arc. Enraged Bor not finding his son in Valhalla. Bor and Odin VS Surtur.....short battle eh? Odin, Bor, Thor....the new Warriors Three? lol...in search of... Tiwaz.

Instead of possibilities...we get a dead Bor.

I hope not. What would Walt do with Bor?

    B

Well considering Loki seemed to "kill" Bor much easier than Thor did, I see no reason why that blow with Mjolnir didn't render him dead. In the end, we have to remember, that Thor legitimately WAS holding back against Bor because he was trying to subdue him rather than kill him. However Bor didn't leave Thor much choice because of the destructive rampage that Bor was on.

However I would imagine there is a story in itself for a future date, Bor doesn't find Odin in Valhalla. Then he learns that his own grandson killed him... I don't think Bor is done for myself.
