    Let's carefully analyze this:

    1) Mjolnir molecular composition is that of a Mystical Metal called Uru.
This Magical Uru Metal should not exist in the real world-- as far as Science, and even the Laws that govern all Nature goes. In other words, it should be totally Alien to the the Marvel Universe. That's why it was absolutely incomprehensible that the Molecule Man would have an easier time taking Mjolnir's Molecules aprt than Captain America's Shield- no matter the density and the molecular composition of the Shield. It just doesn't add up....

    2) Galactus could repair the Hammer, but he cannot affect any of the Enchantments of the Hammer. That's a Cannon-Thor-#305.

    3) Cosmic Powers is a source of energy that we can understand a whole lot better than Mystical energies. Even the Living Tribunal sees the Mystical energies as a far greater threat than energy that comes from PC. Mystical energies can turn nature upside down with greater ease than PC. It really doesn't matter if the big G is a Third Force of the Universe or not.

I accessed that issue of Avengers with Molecule Man. He disintegrates the hammer, surfer's board and Cap's shield and IM's armor. He later recalls the molecules of the hammer, board and shield back together and they are restored to how they were, but he cannot comprehend the workings of IM's armor and makes Stark an "iron man leisure suit".

However as the IM armor is a complex machine vs. objects like the hammer, board and shield, and that Owen Reece isn't the brightest bulb on the strand....
