One could also make the argument Thor battled the Hulk in Thor #385. That Hulk did not revert back to Banner even when calm, but had some intelligence. I will say that by the end of the fight Hulk was dominating, but Thor was without his hammer for at least half of it and at first was dominating and more or less held his own or matched the Hulk blow for blow. So, each time they do fight it is close unlike on the dvd.

Hulk doesn't always revert to Banner when calm, the transformation is as much psychological as it is physical. Its actually very bizaare really the transformation... sometimes when Hulk is down he reverts instantly other times he doesnt... he stays Hulk, wakes up after he's healed and then the fight is on again.

I won't get into the whole "Who is stronger Hulk vs. Thor debate?" I will only say that Thor is pretty much the Hulk's equal in strength most of the time. Also, since strength is the Hulk's main thing while Thor has other powers Hulk's strength is played up more than Thor which is one reason for more strength feats.

Well I think Hulk is stronger physically, but Thor is more powerful and a better fighter. Which is how Hulk is able to fight Thor because he is strong. If Thor and Hulk were perfect strength equals, then, Hulk would be dispatched quite efficiently by the god of thunder IMO.

I don't go into the strength debate due to reasons stated, but I think there is evidence either way. Grey Hulk one time stated Satannish (or some demon lord) had physical strength that not even the Savage Hulk could match even if he had months. But then there are statements, feats, etc. the other way. Finally, there is hyperbole. I so I won't say one way or the other. I do think though it has been established that his stamina and healing can eventually be overcome even if it takes years.

Mephisto it was. Grey Hulk was probably just saying it because he always had a chip on his shoulder about the Green Savage Hulk. Basically Grey Hulk wanted to make his own reputation as a heavy hitter and he could never throw off the old stigma that he was inferior to the Green Hulk.

Sorry, I have had job interviews where I don't know why, but for some reason I failed. The best thing you might be able to do is learn what you did wrong or what they think you failed at and try again.

Many thanks. I will just have to look for another career now is all. I got something in mind. So... when I get it, then I will brag! lol
