I don't think I care for the idea of Hartnett as Loki, but we'll see. I've always liked Dominic West ("Theron" in 300) as a Loki candidate, as he really has that "silver-tongued devil" style down pat. With Thor being cast in the mid-20's though he'd be a bit too old.
Edit: I just looked closer at his IMDB profile, and he has the same birthday as me! How's that for a coincidence.
Quote:As per the message from C yesterday we have all heard about AS being a possible candidate for Thor.
Now, here is an article from CBR today about someone who would want to play Loki. Which I find a bit surprising.
Personally, I think he's a good actor and possibly has the looks for Loki.
Remember, as some people have stated before, Loki is not really meant to be the " ugly" stereotypical villan in the myths as he has always been portrayed in the comics.

There's new casting rumors about the two lead roles: for the God of Mischief, IESB claims that Josh Hartnett has met with director Kenneth Branagh and wants to give the role a shot because he's never played a villain (Slevin Kelevra doesn't count).
Not enough? Okay, how about this for a Thunder God (if Latino Review is to be believed): standing six foot four, having a meal with Branagh in Los Feliz, it's actor Alexander Skarsgard! Branagh and two unidentified men ate with Skarsgard at Blair's Restaurant, but maybe it was just a friendly meeting between a Shakespearean actor and a statuesque Nordic man. Maybe.
Release date: July 16, 2010.
