Quote:So, who would be a good choice? Bring back Alpha Ray from the Oeming mini? Some other cosmic like Terrax or a resurrected Morg? An entirely new villain? Or maybe an unknown figure from Bill's past? Throw in your two cents here and let's see if we can't find Bill a foil.
For once, I'm not going to disagree with ya, Ragnarok. Hah ha.
In all seriousness, I do agree he needs an arch-enemy. The thing is, Bill's kinda been satellite with several peoples' rogues gallery, like Loki, the Wrecking Crew and a few cosmic baddies from the Silver Surfer.
The only real archenemy he has right now is Stardust and to an extent, Galactus. Even then, we don't know how long Stardust will be around (as a herald and otherwise... I forsee that Stardust won't be around past 'Godhunter', folks) and if he/she/it would make for a compelling archfoe against Bill.
Alpha Ray I think went into the same dimension as Asteroth, though I could see Alpha Ray returning, albeit as some mutated half-cyborg, half-demonic creature.
My advice would be to go a more original route and give him his own enemies once in a while instead of having to rely on standby/catch-all antagonists. That might help, I think.
The Korbonites had their own pantheon of gods. The priests were enraged that Bill was being worshipped as one. If the Korbonite gods are real and still exist might they have issues with Bill associating with alien gods or depriving them of worship. If they are real would not Bill be pissed that they did nothing while the Korbonites suffered? I could see interesting possibilities. Bill has been answering the god question a lot recently. The Skrulls thought the prophecy from Kly'bn was an answer to why he had not done more to protect them. How would Bill feel when confronted by his own native gods?
