Reply Subj: Is Thor 499 the worst?

Just that is were I got to in Thor and stopped enjoying the stories as much. I ended up with alot of them on discs along with back issues and it just seems like this is the era in Marvel when everything had to be gritty and sort of incoherent. The stories are nearly impossible to follow and you just are never sure what is going on. Thor had that in this particular run of time, Dr. Strange had it alot worse though (there are alot of confusing Dr. Strange stories too but damn...).

It might be the worst but that would be a matter of opinion. I am sure some people would be ticked off by events in other issues but I would say these are low points in the Thor run. The sort of fantasy element seemed sucked out into something else. Thor has always been about epic characters in epic stories. Truely stories of the gods sort of things, and mortals who have stature approaching the gods. Most of them are fun, but somehow that lost its way.
