The last Thor comic I read was # 10 which came out, I seem to recall, in September 2008.

I was very nearly quitting at that point myself, only the fact that at the moment I have a bit of cash to burn that I kept buying.

Now for someone who has been reading Marvel Thor since day 1 and through thick and thin I guess that's a pretty drastic step. The guy at my comic shop who has known me for 100 years (slight exaggeration) was flabbergasted when I cancelled

It wasn't just a matter of delays, I just seemed to lose interest. That's not a criticism of JMS work either.

    Quote:
Well if you won't criticise him, I will. JMS - its an interesting read, but as an action comic (and Thor's an action hero - incase you didn't know) its totally and utterly boring - or at least it has been for 13 of the 14 issues so far; #600 ticked all the right boxes...I'll give you that.

Throw in the delays (still with no end in sight) and the whole title feels like its stuck in quicksand. Either pull the finger out or bow out gracefully and let someone else take over...preferably me.

I guess I'll came back to it in due course, possibly via the trade paperbacks.

I've lurked here a bit so I have gotten the gist of what's happened since I stopped.

For goodness sake if you wanted to explain what was happening this past year all you need say is Loki is up to mischief...because thats all's happening.

I'm just so tired of the lame & pointless deaths (Bor/Odin)!
It's not a (Simonson or Oeming) comic anymore, and I stopped buying comics in general, not b/c of the prices (Which I think are extremely high), but b/c there's no love for the readers anymore.

Mr. Kirby & Lee, knew how to cater to the (Thorite Fans) with awesome action/input & ideas. But, I've also have been verrrrrry lazy (LOL), and the fact that my wife complains that I have too much (In storage & in milk Crates in the closet) of them already
