Quality over quantity ?

I'm not saying that a competant new writer couldn't bring in the same type of quality as JMS. But, if it was the case where the book would come out on time, have the same artist and a great writer then I'm sure the title would still get great sales.

The general opinion from the majority of people on this board ( from what I can see ) is that they are just fed up with the book coming out nearly every two months ( If we are lucky ). How many books will that be a year ? 5 ? 6 ? .

I haven't even bought # 601 yet, which means I haven't bought an issue of Thor since January ???????!!!! I just can't be bothered anymore until things change. I never thought I'd feel like this. I mean if the book was crap then my lack of enthusiasm would be obvious, but it's not. Which makes the situation even sadder than what it is.
I'm more excited for BRB: Godhunter than Thor.

Just curious.

Anyway,

Aye or Nay to the Poll.? I'll add up the votes on Monday

thanks

1: LATE JMS BOOK

2: ANOTHER WRITER & ARTIST TAKE OVER

3: SECOND BI-MONTHLY TITLES WITH A DIFFERENT TEAM

4: ADD A CO-WRITER ON THE MONTHLY BOOK

5: CANCEL THE BOOK

6: REPLACE THOR WITH BETA RAY BILL ( Just like Incredible Hercules )

I won't bother saying why the other options don't really work, as you probably already know why they don't. But I'll give what I think is the best option.

Option 7: Make sure the individual stories ship on a monthly schedule. Between stories, ship a separate miniseries. The shipping schedule would look like this, where each line represents a month.

Thor # 1
Thor # 2
Thor # 3
Thor # 4
Thor # 5
Thor # 6
Thor: Ages of Thunder # 1
Thor: Ages of Thunder # 2
Thor: Ages of Thunder # 3
Thor # 7
Thor # 8
Thor: Secret Invasion # 1
Thor: Secret Invasion # 2
Thor: Secret Invasion # 3
Thor # 9
Thor # 10
Thor # 11
Thor # 12
Thor # 13/600
Thor: Dark Reign #1
Thor: Dark Reign #2
Thor: Dark Reign #3
Thor # 601

Now there are basically three parties here: Marvel, hardcore Thor fans, and fans who are reading the book because they like it. Marvel gets a Thor issue every month and sees an increase in profit. Hardcore Thor fans get an issue every month. Regular fans get to keep getting JMS stories without a reduction in quality.
