Reply Subj: Delays in comicbooks like Thor. Doesn't this article put them all to shame ?

I just read over at CBR an article about this week being the last issue of the 52 series by DC which was written by Kurt Busiek and drawn by Mark Bagley.

Now, I know the writers have different schedules etc, but, I can't get over the total professionalism of the entire team. Especially Bagley.

The guy was drawing 12 PAGES A WEEK for 52 weeks !! He did not miss a single deadline in the whole year.
Whether you like his art or not it just shows that other artists should take a look at the commitment, work ethic and passion the man shows for the medium.

Now, if we only had that on Thor we'd all be very happy.

If JMS or whoever is finding hard to keep up with deadlines because they keep accepting new work or are not 100% into the project they should either say NO to anymore new work or pass the job unto someone else who does have a passion for the comic. These people get paid good money to work on comics, and for many that would be dream job that a lot of people would sacrifice a lot for to get into.
