Quote:I just read over at CBR an article about this week being the last issue of the 52 series by DC which was written by Kurt Busiek and drawn by Mark Bagley.
Quote:Now, I know the writers have different schedules etc, but, I can't get over the total professionalism of the entire team. Especially Bagley.
Quote:The guy was drawing 12 PAGES A WEEK for 52 weeks !! He did not miss a single deadline in the whole year.
Whether you like his art or not it just shows that other artists should take a look at the commitment, work ethic and passion the man shows for the medium.
Quote:Now, if we only had that on Thor we'd all be very happy.

I've been buying comics for a little over 30 years and writers artists rarely had anything approaching the kinds of delays we have today. As much detail as George Perez puts in a comic, he NEVER had delays like this with "New Teen Titans" and "The Avengers" when he was healthy. The same is true with Bryne on "Uncanny X-Men" (when his art was still very good), John and Sal Buscema. With advances in technology, it should be easier to get books out on time, not harder.
