Reply Subj: Love to see it but without a humiliating defeat for EITHER of them.

Of course I would love to see it happen but even though I'm a big Thor fan, I don't want to see Superman knocked out cold in a rematch because that would just upset all the Superman fans and a event like JLA/Avengers should be a showcase for both companies heroes. Of course they should fight but a stalemate where Thor shows he can fight evenly without collapsing in a heap will do me.

Even 7 years later, I still can't bear to read JLA/Avengers again and this was one of the most anticipated comics that I ever wanted to see beforehand. All totally ruined because of the writer and editors decision to humilate Thor in a move that made no sense as it added nothing or was essential to the story or plot. Both Marvel and DC fans should have proud and enjoyed what should have been the ultimate team-up.

Man, I can't believe I can still get upset over it after all this time.

First of all, Superman is more popular and he's practically an icon, so he would win just by his brand name. Secondly, Superman can beat pretty much anybody short of the Spectre or the Living Tribunal. Pre-Crisis Superman could do things like push planets and wipe out solar systems. Superman also has a wide assortment of powers. I'm not saying that Thor would go down easily, but I don't think that Superman beating Thor is out of the range of the possible.
