I think this whole 'persecution' attitude Thor fans have has gone way way too far, it's just not relatable for me at all.
In the context of Siege and the fact Asgard, their home and Thors, has just been toppled just what reaction is its architect, Prince and heir supposed to have? Indifference, anger or as seen here a few moments of personal grief and regret....?
You know, I'm enjoying Siege and I'm a huge Dark Avengers fan. That has been a great book and I wish it hadn't ended so soon. That said, Thor's portrayal during this Siege is a bit odd.
It is very out of character for Thor to have lapses like this. The Battle is far from over, there is still vengeance to be had, his people are dying, and his answer is to fall to his knees during the fight? WTF?!
It's just weird, dude.
