Subj: Vidar, you have hit the proverbial nail on the head. Re: Hulk is an anathema to Thor

I don't read enough Hulk to know the character down pat, but every time I see hulk he's acting like as asshole. I think the hulk fans mostly via the board really embarrassed not just themselves but the wider comic -reading fraternity.

Personally I don't want Thor anywhere near the hulk. Even the long standing rivalry is boring and for the most part redundant. I'd rather see Thor team up with someone of equal capability such as the suffer or gladiator. How about Ikaris or Warlock?

PAK is right in that Herc would have a closer affinity to hulk being as they're both simplistic bricks most of the time.

That's one of the reasons why I'm not keen at all on the way the Hulk has been depicted for quite a while.

It's one thing to talketh the smack like Thor does (it's pompous to be sure, but also awesome and funny), but the Hulk has for years now been one big green douche bag. Look at the recent issue (when Hulk gets destroyed by Zeus). There's one panel in which the Hulk says something about Zeus being afraid, or something like that. Look at the Hulk's smug "tough guy" expression. It's disgusting, that leering, almost sinister, grin.

It's like the worst depictions of Batman and Wolverine - you know, the "I'm such a tough guy I have no need for anyone or any help, etc.", and forget any semblance of manners. Funny, though, bringing up manners when it comes to the Hulk!
