It's still very strange to me, the whole group of freaks (Hulk, Red She Hulk, A-Bomb, and the the other members). The whole idea of a "Hulk Family" just doesn't sit well with me. I like the Hulk as a solo creature, to be honest, not a leader of a bunch of misfits.

EXACTLY Dana! Hulk writers are obviously struggling to create stories around an essentially one-dimensional character. Originally there was Betty, Rick and Ross as supporting characters but there's only so far you can go with this. The Hulk got all soapy under PAD, then Kermit Gladiator in space and now this 'family' nonsense. The Red Hulk story was probably the most moronic series of Marvel comics I've ever seen, but judging the Hulk fan's recent bleatings I'd say they were well satisfied LOL.

You look at Thor and he has a great supporting cast and a wide, extensive canvas. he is the stuff of myth and legend, but can also travel into space and probably still across time.

If I were writing Hulk I would focus on building up an arch nemesis and making a hero of the character once again. The misunderstood misanthrope is old and tired and yeah, I too find that whole smirking tough guy routine mildly revolting.

Also, how is the Hulk one dimensonal when he's been constently changing, and developing over the years? And who wants to see the same old same old with one charicter?
Also your not serious about PAD's run are you? He's come out with some of the most acclaimed Hulk stories for a reason

If you looked properly, not a single Hulkfan enjoyed or was satisfied by Rulk's nonsense. He made the entire Marvel Universe including the actual Hulk look like chumps in that series, your prcaticlly ignoring all the complaints many of the Hulk fans had about rulk for years, and honestly I personally enjoyed Thors payback in Parker's run on Adjetive-less Hulk.

Also In planet Savage Kate mentioned that his family could be leading him down a path of heroism, his confrontation with Zeus was motivated for their benifit, granted it wasn't the best statagy but if you looked closly Banner was filled with desperation, since he saw what Herc did after Chaos War he thought if he couldn't just ask another Skyfather to undo his problems with his family, he'd find a way earn his respect and help them.
