A writer with a brain is finally portraying the Son of Odin as he should be portrayed. A being with Thor's heritage is certainly much more than just another "strong guy" running around in Marvel Universe. The divinity of Thor is what makes him who he is. Good to see a little more of this explored. Astonishing Thor, story line and art, is far superior to what's going on in the main title. Here's hoping they keep it up! Definitely building a strong fan base.

I'm hugely in favor of the whole innate divinity thing.

Unfortunately, it's been shoved off into this little corner of a comic book while the rest of Thor's appearances, including the most important one, the movie, trend in the opposite direction. In the movie he's basically a blonde alien with powers derived from his fancy high tech armor and big high tech hammer. More clor than Thor, it seems.
