I skimmed the archives earlier and from what was said in some of the posts I read, it seemed Busiek didn't know that Thor was knocked out as he responded to someone that knocking a person over with a surprise hit isn't about their strength, but balance. Someone-- I believe it was you, actually-- pointed out to him that Thor wasn't simply knocked over, but knocked out.

I don't know if their discussion was about a light-hearted scene or a dramatic one.

Here is what I know.

1) Busiek nominated Thor the Avenger who would get shot in the head.

2) The incident was intended to be comedic (Thor falling over on buddy).

3) Busiek went over the script before the issue was printed.

I do recall telling Busiek that Thor was knocked out rather than simply falling, but I also recall Busiek saying that the shock caused him to briefly pass out.
