Yeah, I have that. I also have the OHMU deluxe ed., Marvel Encyclopedia 2002 (states 6 durability: Superhuman (bulletproof =5)),  Marvel Encyclopedia 2006: Powers- Near Invulnerability. All my sources are pre- Modern Thor, there are others that I have, but these were at hand currently.

I don't think anyone contests that Thor has high durability.  The question mark has been in regards to bullets and blades.  Before the early '90s, Thor never appeared to be bulletproof.  Instead he chose to block them regardless of the circumstances and sometimes said they were a threat to him.

If Thor were always bulletproof, then he is responsible for a man's death-- an enemy, to be fair, but still not what one should expect from a hero-- and he's responsible for endangering innocent lives and injuring a police officer.  All because he didn't want to get some welts.

That just... eviscerates the character.  Better a Thor who can be injured or even potentially killed by bullets than one who'd heedlessly imperil lives to avoid a boo-boo.
