    Both police officers and soldiers (purposely enlisted, not drafted) know that there is a risk that they might die in the line of duty. If they are not prepared to accept that risk as part of the job description, then they might be better off pursuing a different vocation. Just look at the NYPD detective that got shot last week.I am friends with many cops and sheriffs and my uncle was a cop and they all say the same thing, they know the risks. I am one to hope that it DOES NOT happen, but, criminals do spent sh*t to avoid going to prison.

You're saying is that since a police officer knew the job was risky, it'd be okay for Thor to put him in deadly danger just to avoid a minor irritation?
