So you are saying that the "OFFICIAL HANDBOOK" is wrong WHY exactly?.... because it WHAT... DISPROVES YOUR ARGUMENT?

This is the literature at the heart of the debate between Watcher and I, and since I seem to have found some evidence based on a character with similar resistance attributes to Thor and puts my position on even stronger ground- You cry fowl and that the OFFICIAL HANDBOOK is wrong?

    Am I understanding this correctly???

    Quote:
Thor and the Asgardians are "resistant to conventional injury". Just in case you need the definition of "conventional" in this instance, here you go from Merriman & Webster:

I have no problem with the handbook myself even if comics DO trump handbooks. That being said, I really don't see how it help the bulletproof side to say Thor, or the asgardians, are resistant to conventional injury. Resistance imply the protection vs those attacks isn't complete. In other word, not "proof" level. Even the BP issue had Thor resistant to bullets. Yet, when we say Thor is bullet-resistant and not bulletproof many fans go crazy.

Something that is fire proof is beyond the power of flame to damage. Something that is fire resistant simply make it more difficult for the flame. Same for stain or wrinkle resistant clothes. They aren't above stains or wrinkles.
