    Quote:
OK let's get this straight once and for all. Thor happens to be a Prince of an ENTIRE PANTHEON of gods. Moreover, he's probably, after Odin, the most powerful god in Asgard. In addition, standing about 6'6 and weighing more than 600 lbs. with centuries of fighting experience, and being a Natural Leader and all, he probably could pick up more girls in one day than Supes could in 20 years. Therefore, it's IMPOSSIBLE for Thor not to boast. However, the all-wise Odin, knew that power can corrupt anyone- even a god, and if Thor one day was supposed to become this agent of Order fighting Chaos- he needed to learn humility. Supes, on the other hand, is not a Prince to any throne; nor, does he have the any responsibility of fighting for the lives of gods and mortals in both planes at the same time. Problem is that many in MARVEL have NEVER, and most probably will never, recognize Thor's attributes. It's almost impossible for him not to boast.. Yet, he would easily sacrifice his life for a mere mortal, who could potentially die of just about anything; which should be unthinkable for an immortal like Thor- as Demogorge once pointed out. IMHO, Thor is a FAAAAR more interesting character than Supes, but I do respect people who thinks differently...

How did my reply end up being seen as an attack on Thor rather than an answer to Seeker's question? Have I ever said Thor wasn't an interesting character? No. So where does that reply come from? Saying a character boast a lot isn't a bad thing in itself. I happen to think John Constantine is an awesome character that I like to see VERY arrogant. Somehow, for Thor, it's taboo and seen as an attack...

I wish I was half the troll many like to think I am because this board would be paradise. It's so absurdly easy to get a reaction out of so many here it's barely believable. Simply not giving praise can be seen as an attack on the character or it's fan...
