just read this issue. it continues the wonder man's revengers take down of the avengers and the mansion. steve rogers sees the carnage and calls out an "avengers assemble" of all of the members. i don't recall dell'otto ever drawing a full book before, but man, i really like it! i thought he did a great job.

simon goes on television and tells the public that the avengers has been hiding secrets and are responsible for many evil deeds. the heroes that were beaten previously survives, injured, but gets ready to do battle again, this time with thor, ironman, and many others. though dr. strange is not breathing. he took it worst than the other heroes.

the avengers shows up and tell simon and his team to step down and surrender. of course they refuse and simon and iron man go at it, but...it was for only a second because beast created an ionic container that easily absorbed simon's body into a sphere and was easily captured. the others (atlas, goliath, anti-venom, and so on) are freaked out that wonder man was so easily defeated, some are hesitant to fight, but atlas screams out and called thor a "roided up chump" and said to bring it on! at this time, they're standing in front of city hall. fearing for the public, thor quickly transport everyone to citi stadium so they can fight without fear of pedestrians getting hurt. the revengers are caught off guard, and scared out of their pants that someone can easily transport all of them to another place in an instant. the avengers materialize with thor in front and thor takes down atlas with a fly by...in his face! from there, the avengers easily take care of the rest.

i love the art, and have nothing bad to say about bendis in this issue. i'm glad after the thor: deviant disaster, i get to read this and see thor put out a good show.

where the Mansion was taken down.
Another great Thor showing there.

This is the way Thor should be used in the Avengers.

He's the big gun game changer you only call when things are at their worst.

Oddly enough Bendis has kind of used Thor that way more than a lot of other Avengers writers who chose to job him out instead.
