I'll concede most of that to a point, but I'd still contend that Hercules as he has been depicted is sufficiently stronger enough than Ares for Hercules to render most of his brother's advantages moot.




I don't disagree with you that mortal Hercules will beat Ares more often than not. Ares is more powerful than Hercules but Hercules is the greater fighter and thou he does not have as much power as Ares, Hercules's superior strength and personality and skill will allow him to defeat Ares. Think of it this way, if Ares met up with some who is identical to him in skill and personality but that person had the power of mortal hercules instead of his power, I am willing to bet that the true Ares would kill that clone.

However, given Hercules skill and personality, mortal Hercules would defeat Ares. Power is important; however, a person's personality goes a long way to winning a fight.

You could say that Hercules have the superior fighting personality. Batman would not be Batman without his personality.
