bd2999, you're kind of on the path that I'm taking. What I'm saying is this, Thor isn't the type of character that should struggle with all the nominal beings that seem to popup and attack him. For instance as has been brought up before, Quicksand can give him a run for his money. How is this possible? Thor should be able to easily mop the floor with the broad and not even notice she was there.

Sort of but not really. Should Quicksand be able to beat him? Probably not but being a problem is fine. I do not see gods as unbeatable, that is the difference. I think Thor is due some good showings against some tough foes like the Hulk has gotten but that is mostly what I would concede.

And as far as the evolving aspect that others are saying, if lesser are beings are evolving to become Godlike, then that means that they were never up to the level of The Gods to begin with. I mean, do you see the point I'm making?

Yes, but much of it is incorrect in what you are saying and speculation from incorrect information is still bad. I am not thinking about other characters evolving per se, because Thor has done that too. He is a different character. Every writter has a somewhat different take on a being.

Surfer gaining power was not a bad thing at all, and honestly Hulk becoming a powerhouse in and of itself is fine. Some characters reaching that level of power or around it makes since and is fine. There are some guys I do not think it fits that well. So I think talk of putting gods, especially just Asgardians, on some pedistal as being basically cosmic beings in and of themselves is simply wrong. Especially when most origin accounts do not have them older than Earth, and none put them as being near the age of the universe.

Look Raist bunnies...
