    The only reason why it's a "waste of your time" is because you can't manipulate the truth inot some stupid explanation that makes no sense.
    "Mists of Night" is a metaphor, nothing more or less. The HOW you know it's a metaphor and it is galactic debris being cleared comes in 2 factors. 1- the shear power of the storm Thor summon to dispell what you allege are simple mists. 2- The siuation that brought about the need to clear Anything.
    There aren't many meanings you can see when reading "Mists of Night", under your take it as you read it silly explanation Thor is clearing one of 2 things, either mists(no need for such a tremendous storm to do this), or night(no need for a storm at all).
    But it wasn't night or mists obscurring his view, it was debris. The comic shows this. You can't just look at his words and nothing more there is an entire comic and other things happening that explain it. "Mists of Night" was neither mists nor night that is a Metaphor for the debris.

There certainly was a lot of debris when Planets and Suns were decimated:
