I looked at what you posted and I want to ask you a question: If the Sentry could simply regenerate himself at the subatomic level as this is implying then why allow himself to be destroyed in the First Place? I ask because he made quick work of Loki with The Norn Stones and The Norn Stones had originally turned the tide of battle in the favor of the Villans, before Loki repented. But I guess The Sentry/Void allow Thor to win too. I mean, I allow people to hurt me all the time w/o attempting to prevent harm. Its the way of the world.

Out of curiosity did you read any of the Dark Avengers books? Molecule Man destroyed him at the molecule level and Sentry just took a bit of time to reform. And that was more an issue that he did not know he could do it. He also flew to the sun and his body burned and reformed. You mean why allow himself to die when he could have whatever he wanted? Bob is insane and not well but the man himself for his faults is not a wanting murderer. The dark voice whispering into his ear is definatly a monster, wether part of his mind augmented by something else or not. Bob, after everything that happened and being hit with tons of damage got a hold again and realized what he was doing and the only way to stop it.

What does the Loki thing matter? He gave the heroes a power up with the stones and they were able to hurt Void a bit but he was more annoyed than anything and then killed Loki with them. What can be more simple than that, stop the cause of the pain. Did not mean that Loki had a shot against him. Just that Void thought that it was cheating. Whatever that means.

That is the point WBW and Bendis are making that Thor was the dealer of the blow but it would not have mattered at all unless Bob wanted to die and stop it at that point. Thor had hit him with lightening at least two major times and was hitting him with other bolts at other times. And Void seemed not to care to much. Thor was pretty much beat at one point as well until Normal called him to destroy Asgard.

So yes, Bob allowed Thor to kill him. You could argue that Thor might be one of the few heroes who could have done the deed even when Bob wanted to die, since he can do a ton of damage. But the fact remains that Void never seemed bothered that much by anything until Bob took control again. Then the fight really turned.

And your example is quite bad because it is not something that a normal perspective can take in. We can allow ourselves to be harmed in a fight by not protecting ourselves. This example would be more akin to you gaining some sort of power that allows you to do anything and going on a rampage. The polics blast you and nothing happens and at some point someone convinces you it is wrong or your right mind takes over and you conciously turn the power off to a degree that allows you to be harmed or killed. It is not a simple matter of standing there while some guy takes a swing at you. It deals more with mental states connected to powers.

Which honestly is very consistant with the Sentry and how his powers work.
