Some discussions I have seen on other boards say it is rape because she mentally enslaved him the same way Marcus raped Carol to give birth to him because he used machines to enslave her mind. These discussions generally find both examples disgusting and how they were glossed over in their initial stories. The latter one was at least somewhat addressed.
