Yea, know what you mean. I just found it interesting that an advanced race like the Kree possessed some sort of weapon against the Norse gods, nonetheless having some type of history with the Asgardians.

….if they explain this by retreading the "Odin was so horrified by this experience that he purged it from everyone's memory" gimmick, I'll cry as a I read the issues on the shelves, but be sure not to get any tears on them as I neatly place them back for someone else to buy.

To be clear, I have no problem with universal threats. By definition, they have to be made up from somewhere. But by golly make them up from something clever….or nothing even….but not from stupidity. Cosmic cube? Ok, I can dig it. Infinity Gauntlet? Sure. Alien tech? Come on. Sure, you can make a God's whisper thing? Alright. Someone slipped into a Cosmic's treasure trove and stole it. Maybe (and I mean MAYBE) someone stole it out of Odin's. But Kree tech? Err….I could have believed it of maybe Ebony Maw was some kind of universal persuader thingy like the Love and Hate cosmics, and somehow this was his talisman. But what do I know.

BTW, if you want to read a story about "God's Whisper" and have a high threshold for a religiously offensive story coupled with the grotesque, try Preacher by Vertigo.
