Yes, but that was not the point I was getting at. You are saying that both are alive at the end of the universe, but apparently are forgetting how the future story line ended. Galactus on Mars is revealed to have the sword. It is then left with "that is a tale for another time" ala Conan or something.

I am not saying anything with regard to a skyfather using the weapon. But at the end a cosmic force had it. Thor may have not lived a whole lot longer after that for all we know. Nor, assuming much less, do we even know how much longer the universe had. It could have gone on for much longer but not much in regards to immortal beings.

I just did not fully understand why you brought Galactus up. He has always been regarded as immortal and will be the last being around. To fulfill whatever his purpose is. If John Bryne's "Last Galactus Story" is the general template than he will be the point for the new universe to begin.

I wondered if Fury's whisper was that KT causes the end of the universe by the possessed Galactus thus corrupting everything that comes after? However that would not explain Odin not being able to pick up mjolnir.
