With the anticipated unpleasantness of Axis book out of the way this was the first
MUST READ THIS WEEK Marvel books. (It was this one or the All-New Ant-Man #1.) For me, THOR 3 turned out being a consecutively
well drawn ish that did not disappoint.
> Nothing but a setup issue for the next issue.
|
There were a bunch of (seemingly) decent clues and lots of learning curve action. Example: the Giants couldn't breach the vault doors but Lady Thor eventually found the strength. Also: this issue her seeming familiarity with Thor tactics (expressed in THOUGHT BALLOONS, yay!) made it sound like it shouldn't be Roz.
> So there IS a time limit on how long she can be separated from the hammer but it appears to be longer then 60 seconds.
|
Sadly, they could have been more forthcoming with how much time elapsed.
> So anyway for the rest of this snooze fest we have Malekith vs the CEO of Roxxon who can turn into a minotaur.
|
Still like getting to know 'this' Minotaur so this had some fair posturing and bloodline hinting IMO.
> Fake THOR smashes the skull and Malekith vows the frost giants will destroy Earth for this.
|
Sadly, this shown sequence/panel was wanting. And the previous one, with the untossed trajectory of the freed hammer, was also either confusing or weak clue that further suggests a sentience in the Uru.
> However they are all interrupted by the arrival of the REAL THOR, carrying his axe and wearing a cyborg left arm. Of course he ignroes Malekith and orders She-Ra/THOR to release the hammer or face his wrath.
|
Well, it was bound to happen and the sooner the better. It was... not bad; although, the lack of clear cross-title continuity continues to painfully cause migraines.

Wait for it... Cool cover!
I miss Dad and Dan.
