The Phoenix Force! Wooooaahhh...

I'm not getting Phoenix vibes here. This looks more generally cosmicy. Maybe more Thor tapping into the Thor-Force / Odin-Force or something. I'd think if they were going for Phoenixness they'd go with flames. Plus, while Cates has sort of gestured towards the existence of Aaron's Thor is the son of the Phoenix story, he doesn't seem to be moving in that direction. He was even a bit dismissive of it. Aaron's the writer who seems enamored with the Phoenix... not just in his Thor stories, but generally. Cates doesn't seem to be on the track. I could be wrong though.
