LGDB is OPENLY saying we cannot criticize ANYONE (such as Donny Cates) unless we also have the same profession.

LGDB: OH I am definitely not saying THAT lol

Glad to hear you have changed your tune.

People who can't do it or even established they understand it regularly tell people are who successful professionals how crappy they are at it. Similar to out of shape sports fans screaming at some of the best athletes in the world lol

And I think that's more tightly analogous with someone who can't or doesn't write telling other people they make their living off of it that there work is crap. I mean would anyone actually dispute it takes vastly more talent and more balls to make something and put it out their, than to go around not contributing and anonymously talking about how this that is awful and doesn't meet your so called high standards?

Be interesting to hear you clarify your new position then.

You're voicing your opinion on Cates - LGDB is saying you don't have the RIGHT or AUTHORITY to do you might hurt Donny's fee-fees.

LGDB: no what hurts my "fees-fees" is doing multiple combat tours in Iraq but being called a bitch cause I think this guy doesn't have an actual argument lol No respect, I tells ya! lol

I don't recall ever calling you a bitch and while I am not American; thanks for your service.

However, you don't need to be a writer to understand storytelling and characterization. Just like Donny Cates doesn't need to be a 6'6" blond immortal to write Thor. Just like Stan Lee doesn't need to be an African Prince to write Black Panther. Just like an overweight fan might actually have a greater knowledge of football than a player. Just like Norvell might have a better understanding of Thor comic lore than say Donny Cates. Just like Siskel & Ebert can critique movies without needing to be Directors themselves.

But forreal... stop attributing to me your ideas of what woke libs get butthurt about on line to me. I'm not woke or a lib: I'm against cancel culture (which is real). Just because you have these political axes to grind doesn't mean I'm on the opposite side of them. Hell I don't even think Trump should have gotten kicked off Twitter.

Based on your previous posts you seem to get butt-hurt about Donny being criticized.

I'm not talking about RIGHTS at all. I HATE censorship, I think more speech is the answer to good speech. I think people should be encouraged to be MORE resilient to ideas they don't like. Not less.

Which seems at odds with your above quotes in bold.

We disagree about about politics and comics, but can we at least properly diagnose what kind of moron, crazy person I AM!? lol

I don't think that's either of the pertinent issues.

1. Can we criticise Donny...yes we can. The question then becomes whether individual critiques can hold up to scrutiny.
2. In my opinion you never get good results when a writer hates a character they are writing and that's purely down to the current political climate.

You address Omnipotence...tread carefully.
