LGDB is OPENLY saying we cannot criticize ANYONE (such as Donny Cates) unless we also have the same profession.
Sure, but he has no authority. I'm humouring him to the extent that my patience will allow.

Things are so divided I suspect whomever controls the media controls the narrative.
Well, that's the problem with capitalist media. Those with the means control the narrative. Guess which ideology pushes for that control? Hint: It ain't mine.
Quote:
You are voicing your opinion on Cates - LGDB is saying you don't have the RIGHT or AUTHORITY to do that...plus you might hurt Donny's fee-fees.
See above.

If I am of the opinion some of Cates plots are illogical and give examples - how exactly should I be held 'accountable'? Sounds a bit sinister.
You seemed to be referring to cancel culture (correct?). I was saying that in the arena of entertainment, people vote with their wallets. Thus, the accountability is people not buying their wares, which is perfectly fair.
In the arena of voicing anonymous opinions about comics or whatever, there is no accountability because there is no mechanism to silence opinions other than by confronting and debunking them.

However, in the case of comic / entertainment criticism, there is no objective standard so its really an exercise in futility.
Quote:
The objective standard is what we have read in the past. We are comparing apples to apples.
That's not an objective standard.

Until things get better at Marvel (which will be never given the openly partisan personnel) make mine MANGA!
Partisanship in a corporation is an illusion. Marvel is in it to make money. They are a corporate machine, not an advocacy group.
