Quote:OK, looks a little teeny bit more gritty than.. anything else. I'm fine with that. Do you think it's in response to the New Mutants horror movie, or they were just looking to find a different niche? I guess this might work along the lines of Gotham.
I think they're definitely trying to compete with New Mutants.
Quote:Dick is definitely a bit Damianish. I agree with F Batman, though. Dick. Grayson.
Well, yeah, I agree with F Batman.
Quote:So what is the deal with the 'DC NETWORK'.. is this just gonna piggyback on another network, really launch as it's own thing, or be a part time network like (showing my age) FOX was in it's infancy when it was just Married with Children and some new fangled Star Trek show (that kicked all types of arse)?
DC's new streaming service (officially called DC Universe so as not to confuse anyone) is its own thing. By the looks of it, it will be offering DC's entire film/TV catalogue... eventually.
Disney/Marvel's supposed to be doing this, as well.
I think a lot of media companies are going to be doing their own streaming in the future just to compete with Netflix, Hulu, et al.
Checked out the DC streaming service, coming in the fall. Along with the movies and new programming it also looks like they're gonna offer a 'Marvel unlimited' type of access to digital comics, although it says 'hundreds' instead of thousands like Marvel. Still, 'early bird' speacial is 15 months for 75 bucks, so $5 a month instead of the $7.99 you'll pay for monthly.
Watchng that trailer again, Gar looks great but we don't see his animal forms, Starfire looks a lot better than some of the promo stills I'd seen. Dove looked pretty MEAN for Dove (did her wings slice that guy?) and Hawk we only saw in the background shadows, really. I can only imagine what he'll be like when Grayson is such a bad ass.
